Acapulco

Acapulco is really a place to be visited and enjoyed, either for a getaway or for a long holiday. There is magic in that place, the whole atmoshphere is very different to other Mexican resort destinations. This area was inhabited since ancient times and founded in the 1500s. Acapulco received shipments from the Philippines and China during the Colonial period and was attacked by pirates. This famous place is only three and a half hours from Mexico City. Acapulco is divided into 3 main areas; old Acapulco, with its Zocalo and market, Golden Acapulco located on the central and east side of the bay, this is the main tourist area where hotels and nightclubs sit still, and Diamond Acapulco, the newer Acapulco where upscale resorts are located. Acapulcos weather is warm to hot with a rainy season from June to October. You can fly into Mexico City and either take the bus or fly into Acapulcos International airport, then take a cab and soon you will be enjoying this magnificent destination. There are many water activities to be enjoyed, many beaches and nightclubs to have a great time in.
